Applicants who are skilled workers and who want to live and work in regional Australia can apply for the temporary Australia Regional 489 Visa. Applicants would be required to live, work and study in specified regional areas of Australia. Candidates are required to hold a subclass 475, 487, 495 or 496 visa. Applicants in possession of this Visa are eligible to stay in Australia for 4 years from the date of issue of their subclass 475, 487, 495 or 496 visa. They would be allowed to live, work and study in specified regional areas of Australia, and allowed to travel to and from Australia as many times as the applicant desires, while the visa is valid

This particular visa is for a member of the family unit of someone who holds a (Provisional) Skilled Australia Regional 489 Visa or a subclass 475, 487, 495 or 496 Visa. The applicant is required to live, work and study in specified regional areas of Australia. It is mandatory for the candidate to be a member of the family unit of someone who holds a 475, 487, 489, 495 or 496 Visa. The applicant is permitted to stay in Australia while the visa is valid, live, work and study in a specified regional area of Australia and travel to and from Australia as many times as you want, while the visa is valid.
