Charles Sturt University (CSU) is a public institution which is situated in New South Wales in Australia. Founded in the year 1989, the university was named in honor of a British explorer, Captain Charles Sturt. It was established from the unification of many existing Colleges of Advanced Education ( but separately administered) that include Bathurst's Mitchell College of Advanced Education in Bathurst, Albury-Wodonga's Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education and Wagga Wagga's Riverina College of Advanced Education.
The University is home to multiple campuses situated in Bathurst, Albury-Wodonga, Dubbo, Port Macquarie, Orange, and Wagga Wagga. It is also home to specialist campuses that are located in Goulburn, Manly, Canberra, and Parramatta. The specialist campuses of the institution are known for offering specialist courses like education, theology, and policing. Even the courses at the university are delivered together with Study Group Australia at the university's Study Centres in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Wangaratta. The large campuses of the university are well-equipped with effective facilities that include television studios, state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, broadcasting studios, and a simulated hospital.
