The Melbourne campus of Charles Sturt University (CSU) offers a range of study programs. Notably, CSU was founded and established in the year 1989. It is a public university that has multiple campuses in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. The university also has specialist campuses in Canberra, Manly, Goulburn, and Parramatta.

The university also provides courses in association with the Study Group of Australia and has study centers in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Wangaratta. It is the fifth-largest university in Australia. Also, it has been ranked as a university with the highest employment rates of graduates than any other Australian university. In fact, it was ranked the no. 1 university for graduate employment for the session 2019-20. It was also certified as Carbon Neutral by CNP (Carbon Neutral Program) which was administered by the Government of Australia, in the year 2016.

There are three main academic and faculty departments in CSU, including Faculty of Justice, Business, and Behavioural Sciences, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Arts & Education. The institute has a career development and graduate placement department that helps students to build their own graduate portfolio and find jobs that match their skills and aspirations. The department prepares students for resume writing, employer presentations, job interviews, and latest industry developments. CSU has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with many domestic and overseas companies. It also has partnerships with various government and non-government agencies that participate in the placement drive conducted by the university.
