Edith Cowan University is a public university situated in Perth, Western Australia. The University gets its name from Edith Dircksey Cowan, the first woman parliamentarian of Australia. In 1982, several teachers’ colleges, including the Claremont Teachers College that began in 1902, were combined to form the Western Australian College of Advanced Education, which later, on receiving the university grants, became the Edith Cowan University. In its thirtieth year in 2021, ECU is already recognised as one of the top hundred young universities worldwide and one of the top-notch universities in Australia committed to delivering quality education.
