All Canadian Universities expect that the international students from non-English speaking countries should have a good understanding of English. The medium of education delivery is English and it is important for the students to be able to cope up with the curriculum. For this reason, English language proficiency exams such as TOEFL and IELTS are compulsory for Indian students (some exceptions can be there). A good IELTS score will improve your resume and will also help you in getting a PR.
