When it comes to courses, Conestoga has something to offer to everyone. Based on the credentials, interested students can choose from around 15 bachelor degrees (four-year programme), 23 advanced diplomas (three-year programme), 54 diplomas (two-year programme), 56 graduate certificates (one-and-two-year programmes) and 35 Ontario College Certificates (10 weeks - 12 months). These courses include multi-disciplinary curriculum involving experiential learning activities in order to make a student industry ready.


At Conestoga, Research projects are integrated into the curriculum. There are around six Centres of Innovation where student researchers learn in a stimulating learning environment.


Eligibility & Documents Required


What are the eligibility requirements?


Along with meeting admission requirement of a particular programme, the international applicants (from non-English speaking countries) need to provide proof of English proficiency by undertaking IELTS Academic exam or TOEFL. For those who do not have English language skills for direct entry into full time post-secondary programmes, they can opt for Conestoga's English for Academic Studies (EAS) programme. As proof of English proficiency, the College is also accepting Duolingo English Test (DET).

Basic Undergraduate Degree Level Requirements:

In order to be eligible for bachelor programmes, an applicant needs a minimum of six Grade12 University or Middle-level courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65 percent. There could be some subject specific requirements depending on the course applied for.

Basic Graduate Certificate Level Requirements:

To prove eligibility for graduate certificates, an applicant requires a two- or three-year diploma or a degree from an accredited college or university in the related field.

Diploma Requirements:

As there are wide range of diplomas are offered at Conestoga, the basic requirements differ as per the field applied for. However, in almost all the courses, applicants must have Grade12 compulsory English. For many courses, even Grade12 Mathematics is an eligibility criterion as the sound mathematical background could be important for the chosen field.

What all documents are needed for the application?


For admission into any programme, both education documents and transcripts of study are needed. A student can upload up to 10 files. However, the size of each file should be 50 MB or less.

Application & Tuition Fees


Is there any application fee?


For applying to any programme at Conestoga College, an international applicant needs to pay application fee of CAD 100 and the payment needs to be made via Flywire.


What is the fee structure of courses offered by the college?


The tuition and fee details of a programme varies from course to course. The range of tuition fees is given below:

*Fee is subject to change with progressive years. It is recommended to check the exact tuition cost of a specific course from college website.

The entire course fee cannot be calculated by doubling or tripling the first-year fee. It may increase with the progression of years, which means that second-year fee could be higher than the first year.

Upon receiving a Letter of Acceptance from the College, a student is required to secure the place in the programme by submitting a CAD1,500 mandatory, non-refundable tuition deposit within 30 days from the date of acceptance mentioned in the offer letter. This deposit is then adjusted to the tuition fees and the balance amount of tuition fees will be deposited as per the due dates specified in the Letter of Acceptance.


Scholarships & Financial Aid


Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?


Conestoga College automatically considers all international applicants for either the entrance scholarship or regional scholarship. Both the above-mentioned scholarships are awarded to a new student who must be a full-time student. Conestoga College rank the students on the basis of past academic performance and the students with high academic average have a better chance of receiving the scholarships.

Along with these scholarships, an applicant can apply for Student Awards for which General Award Application needs to be filled along with documents such as:

Admission Process


When do the admissions start?


As Conestoga College offers both degree programmes and certificates and diplomas, the admission cycle dates vary as per the specific programme. Normally, for a degree programme, a student can opt for Fall, Winter and Spring intakes. For diplomas and certificates, the students need to check the open programmes and apply as per their preferred timeline. Also, every campus can have different open programmes; the students need to check the availability of the preferred programme in the campus of their choice.

Admission Cycle:

An international applicant needs to apply a year in advance before the starting date of a programme. For instance, for the Fall session, the online applications open in early October. The application received after February 1 will be considered on first come first served basis. In order to have better acceptance chances, a student should submit the application as early as possible as some courses might stop accepting application after February 1.

Note: Every course has a different deadline, for which the student needs to visit the exact course page on the official website. The sooner one applies to a programme, better are the chances of being considered for scholarships.


What are the steps to the application process? Is there an interview involved?


After shortlisting the programme, evaluating the tuition fee and confirming the eligibility for the programme, the next step should be to start the application process.

  • For initiating this process, create an international application to Conestoga College
  • Fill the application completely along with uploading supporting documents such as academic transcripts and study permits
  • Make a payment of CAD 100 via Flywire as application fee and submit the application
  • As application is being reviewed by International Admissions, check the status of the application on the College website
  • Upon receiving the Letter of Acceptance, an applicant needs to give confirmation within 30 days of receiving the letter

Note: The college will notify the applicant in case any other supporting documents are required for assessing the application.


How do I start my application?


For applying to any programme (degree/ diploma/ certificates) at Conestoga College, an international applicant needs to apply through International Applicant Portal ( international applicant portal). Please note that this portal is different from the domestic applicant portal.

In order to initiate the application, an applicant needs to create a new applicant account. For this, follow the below- mentioned instructions:

  • Start by clicking ‘Create Account’ and filling up the sign-up form that appears like the image given below
  • Insert personal information such as first name and last name
  • Insert email address on which the applicant is highly active on for smooth communication (it will also be an email to sign into this account)
  • Select a password of eight or more characters with a mix of letters and numbers
  • Confirm the password by inserting it again
  • Select three security questions carefully and answer them as these can be used to verify applicant’s identity
  • Read the data protection statement thoroughly and accept it
  • Click on ‘Create’ and wait for an activation link to be sent on applicant’s email address, using which the account can be activated

Once the account is activated, the applicant will come across seven-step application which includes:

  • Personal Information: Fill personal details such as date of birth, passport number, address, country of citizenship, contact information etc.
  • Agency and Referrals: In case, the application is handled by an agent provide information regarding the same
  • Programme Selection: Carefully select the intended programmes
  • Education: Describe academic credentials in this part
  • Supporting Documents: Upload the documents in this section
  • Payment: Pay the application fee
  • Submit: Review the application and submit it

When will I hear from the college after I submit my application?


As Conestoga College offers courses of varying durations ranging from few weeks to four-year programmes, the average waiting time for a decision on international applicants is four to eight weeks after the deadline of application. The College will continue to make offers as per the seat availability. A Waitlist will also be generated and numbered. The outcome of the application will be communicated the applicants via emails.

Part Time Work While Studying


Can I work while studying here?


An international student can work both on and off campus. However, there are certain conditions to be followed.

On-Campus Work:

  • Students who wish to work on-campus must be full-time students with a valid study permit and Social Insurance Number
  • There is no restriction on number of working hours on- campus (as per IRCC)
  • Students can only work at the campus where they are registered as a full-time student
  • Students can work only after beginning the study programme

Off-Campus Work:

  • Students who wish to work off-campus must be full-time students with a valid study permit and Social Insurance Number
  • Students will be permitted to work off-campus only if they are enrolled for a programme with a duration at least six months or longer
  • Students can work only after beginning the study programme
  • Students can work up to 20 hours a week during regular academic session and full-time during scheduled breaks

Is on-campus housing available? How much does it cost?


At Conestoga College, on-campus housing is available only for full-time students enrolled at only Doon and Cambridge campuses. For other campuses, the students have options of off-campus rentals, homestays or temporary accommodations. The total residence cost at Conestoga ranges between CAD 2200* and CAD 7850* depending on duration of the stay and whether the students opt for single or double occupancy. For other off-campus housing options, the cost can be at least CAD 500 per month.

*As spaces on campus get filled months before the intake, the students are required to book the space as early as possible. It is recommended to check the official websites for accurate residence cost.
