  • Since the MEng is a technical degree, students must have an undergraduate degree in a mining-related discipline in engineering or science
  • A Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering Degree. Acceptable disciplines include:

    • Metallurgical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Environmental Engineering

Marks - 90/120

  • with minimum component scores of 22 in reading, listening and 21 in writing, speaking


Marks - 65/90

  •  with minimums of 60 reading, 60 writing, 60 listening, and 60 speaking


Marks - 6.5/9

  • with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component

Other eligibility criteria
  • Applicants holding a four-year bachelor's degree who do not meet the admissions minimum, but who have had sufficient formal training and relevant professional experience to offset the academic deficiency, may be granted admission
  • For all specializations, relevant professional experience is considered an asset
