    The Certified Dental Assistant program is based on the regulations governing certified dental assisting practices as defined by the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. It is also accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada.

Basis for admission decision:

  • Academic prerequisites: The higher the applicant GPA on required academic prerequisites, the more points awarded.
    • Proof of B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent.
    • Official transcripts (or interim transcripts) from all post-secondary institutions attended showing grade/course achievement as per entrance requirements. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly to UFV from the originating institution; see the Transfer Credit section for details.
    • Official transcripts from secondary schools attended. For students currently in Grade 12, final grades are required by August 3.
    • CDA program application, available at ufv.ca/registrar/forms.
