As such, there are no restrictions on taking the DET exam. If the candidates are less than 13 years of age then they need to take their parents' permission for taking the Duolingo. You can register for the test just a few minutes before appearing for it. No specific dates are given by the conducting body for taking the Duolingo Exam. Duolingo English Test Registration Process

Candidates can register for the Duolingo exam from anywhere in the world through the Duolingo app. The test is fast and convenient and you can register for it a few minutes before taking the test. There are no particular Duolingo test dates, so, one can take it any day anytime. You need to pay the Duolingo registration fee of $49 to complete the registration process. Also, you need to make an online payment to register for the test.

Step 1: Visit the official website and go to ‘sign up’ to create an account by filling in your details

Step 2: Create an account by filling in all the necessary details

 

Step 3: After creating an account, it takes you to the registration page where you can choose from different options to either 'Try the test', 'Purchase the test' or 'Take the test' as shown in the infographic below.

• Try the test: You'll get a 15-min practice test to prepare for the Duolingo exam
• Purchase the test: It allows you to buy the test and take it within the next 21 days whenever you'll be prepared for it
• Take the test: If you want to take the test at the time of registration then you need to select this option. It allows you to take the test right after registering for it

Step 4: After finalizing the option you will be redirected to pay the Duolingo English test fee. You need to pay the Duolingo registration fee through any of the major credit cards or through PayPal.

Duolingo English Test Rules

While going for Duolingo registration, test takers need to follow certain rules set by Duolingo's conducting body. In case the test taker violates the rules then Duolingo can take any stringent action considering the severity of the situation. They can either cancel your test, or invalidate your score, or the student can be permanently banned from taking the Duolingo exam.

• A candidate must have a well-lit room
• 60 minutes of free time
• A reliable computer
• A front-facing camera, a microphone, and speakers
• The test-taker must be alone in the room
• The test-takers ears and face must be clearly visible in the camera during the test
• The test-takers are not allowed to talk to anyone during the test
• The test-taker cannot access any other web browser during the test
• The test-taker needs to look into the system and is not allowed to look away from the screen during the test

Duolingo English Test Registration Fee

Duolingo is designed to be a convenient, fast, and affordable test used to prove English language proficiency to get admission to an educational institution abroad. The Duolingo Test fees is $49 or INR 4032 (Approx) for any attempt. Candidates need to make payments online using any credit card or through PayPal.

Duolingo English Test Cancellation or Rescheduling

Candidates need to take the Duolingo test within 21 days of registering for the test. No refund is issued for candidates who do not attempt the test within 21 days of payment. So, make sure you take the test within this duration.

How to Remove Duolingo Blocked Account?

In case you're unable to log into your account due to some reason you will have to open a new account using a correct email ID. You won't be able to recover your old account with your email ID if the same is wrong or invalid. In case you're still having issues with your account or creating a new account, send a bug report to Duolingo support. From the drop-down list, click on 'I cannot access my account'.
