IDP IELTS Booking Online

Step 1: Visit IELTS official website

Step 2: Create your profile and log on to your account

Step 3: Select the option 'Register for test'

Step 4: Select your preferred test - computer-delviered IELTS or paper-based IELTS

Step 5: Choose your test type - IELTS Academic or (IELTS General Training)

Step 6: Select your preferred IELTS test center, exam date, and IELTS exam slot

Step 7: Upload a scanned color copy of your passport

Step 8: Pay the IELTS test fee using a credit card

Step 9: Check the IELTS test fee confirmation for IELTS exam booking on your registered email id

Step 10: Make sure that you keep that mail for future reference

After booking the IDP IELTS test you will receive acknowledgement on your registered email ID/phone number.

Book the slot for the Speaking test online on your preferred date and time. If you won't be able to book the slot within the available time then a time slot will be automatically allocated to you.

IDP IELTS Booking Offline

Step 1: Visit the official IELTS website

Step 2: Check out the nearest IELTS test center which suits you.

Step 3: Register on the IELTS website and pay the online registration fee of INR 15,500. Also, you can also download the registration form and submit it at the local test center.

Step 4: The confirmation of the date and time will be sent by the test center.

Step 5: Also note that the speaking test will be conducted on a separate date within 7 days of registering for the IELTS test.

Key points to remember while booking the Slot for the IELTS exam:

  • The aspirant must have completed the age of 16.
  • The candidate must carry a valid passport at the time of entering the Test Center
  • Make sure the information which you are giving while registering should match with the information form in the applicant’s passport.

Cancellation or Refund IELTS Fee

Apart from this, candidates can also cancel or postpone the IELTS slot booking 2023 by paying the cancellation or postpone fee. They will receive the refund after deducting the administration fee which is 25% (roughly Rs 3,875) of the test fee.

IELTS Slot Booking FAQs

Q. Can I book IELTS 2 days before?

A. Candidates can register for the IELTS as early as three months before the test date and latest by one week before the exam date.

Q. Is IDP easier than IELTS?

A. IDP is the conducting body of IELTS. They organize IELTS exam for students and immigrants who wish to move abroad for studies or work. Also, there is not difference between IELTS test at the IDP or British Council.

Q. Can I take IELTS immediately?

A. Candidates need to book the IELTS in advance and they can book the test latest by one week before the test date. Also, one can take the retest as soon as you feel you are ready. However, make sure to prepare and improve your English sufficiently, so, you can resit for the exam.

Q. Does Canada accept IDP IELTS?

A. Yes, IDP IELTS is accepted by a majority of the universities and colleges to give admission to international students. Also, there is no difference whether it is IDP IELTS or British Council IELTS, both are accepted by the institutes as there is no difference in their format.

Q. Can I retake IELTS Writing test only?

A. IELTS does not allow to retake the IELTS Writing part only. If your IELTS Writing part score is less in that case you have to retake all other modules as well. One needs to retake the IELTS exam completely.

Q. Is IELTS valid for 3 years now?

A. No, the IELTS exam score is valid for 2 years. The validity of the IELTS has not been prolonged to three years yet.
