How to Register for SAT Exam?
Students can register for SAT exam online and through the mail. In the online process, students need to create a profile on the College Board’s official website. Then select the test date and test center and pay the examination fee online. Whereas, students need 'The Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests’ which is available in schools if they want to register by mail. This guide contains the registration form which students need to fill and sent along with the demand draft to the regional office of USIEF (United States India Educational Foundation). Apart from this, students can also register late for the exam after giving a late fee. For registration, students need to check the SAT test dates. There are two ways you can register for the SAT exam in India:
Register Online
- Create a student profile here
- Choose a test date and test centre (Sunday testing or option to choose a test centre closer to home is not offered)
- You will receive an immediate registration confirmation
- Pay the exam fee through credit/debit card or online funds transfer.
- Registration deadlines are typically about three to four weeks before a test date.
- Late registration deadlines are typically about two to three weeks before the test date, and registering late will incur a late fee
Register by Mail
- You first need ‘The Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests’, which is available at schools.
- The guide includes a registration form and a return envelope.
- The form needs to be sent along with a demand draft.
- The local representative of the SAT in India is the USIEF. The mailed forms will be directed to their regional office.
SAT Test Centres
Administered by the College Board, the SAT test is conducted at around 53 institutes spread across 30 cities of India. With such a huge coverage, there still exists a lag in booking test centers as the test is conducted once a month. When can we apply for the schools in US and Canada for the admission ? My son is in 10th class, can we apply now itself in advance to the schools for engineering admission in the year of 2025 OR we can apply only after they clear the 12th exam.
