Established in 2010, Kühne Logistics University (KLU) is a leading institution of higher education in the city of Hamburg, Germany. KLU evolved from a business school for logistics management at the Technical University of Hamburg, which was set up in 2003. In 2017, the government granted it the authority to award Ph.D. degrees to the students. The state-recognized institution is fully funded and supported by the Kuehne Foundation. The programs offered at the institution have been approved by either the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation or the Accreditation Agency Specialized in Accrediting Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics. It also has academic partnerships with several universities and institutions across the globe such as the Ohio State University and Tongji University

Located in the HafenCity area, KLU has a beautiful campus that offers picturesque views of the Elbe River. The campus consists of state-of-the-art administrative, academic, and support facilities for the students. The learning takes place in well-designed classrooms, and lecture halls that are air-conditioned and equipped with high-tech facilities. The golden Auditorium is the most prominent feature on the campus. It is the venue for various cultural and academic events conducted at KLU. The Foyer building is ideal for huge events. Other facilities on the campus include a small auditorium and several group rooms, where conferences and meetings are held

The university library provides all relevant resources and services to support teaching, learning, and research. It holds a rare and unique collection of printed and electronic resources as well as several computer systems that can be accessed by both faculty and students. There are about 27,000 e-books, 10,000 periodicals, and more than 6000 other printed volumes that include books, journals, newspapers, and magazines. The library

The library also offers access to printers and scanners so that learners can take the study material. The campus also features a store where the students can purchase clothes, accessories, and gift items. KLU offers a limited number of rooms in two student dormitories in Rahlstedt and Kiwittsmoor from the Studierendenwerk Hamburg. Students can rent a temporary room for one semester or a permanent room for the whole time of their studies

KLU has two departments that offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programs in logistics, business administration, management, and economics. At present, it has around 450 students and 23 academic affiliates on the roll. Apart from this, KLU conducts the 'Meet the Pros @ KLU' event organized by Career Services and Alumni Relations. Current KLU students have the chance to meet alumni from KLU who tell them about the professional experience, their career path, and how KLU helped them to achieve it. The program services workshops, guest lectures, excursions, and industry tours to various business partners

Kühne Logistics University maintains a comprehensive list of its alumni. It takes pride in recognizing the achievements of its graduates and organizes various events for them. Many of the KLU alumni are highly successful and recognized for their contribution in their respective professional fields
