GREAT Scholarships for Indians to study in UK
The British Council announced its newest and largest scholarship programme specifically for Indian students. The programme will provide about 370 scholarships worth almost 1 million pounds for 260 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in England, Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland.
The British Council has also launched the Great Career Guide which will help Indian students choose to study in Britain and learn about opportunities available in that country.

GREAT Scholarships - India, is a joint programme part funded through GREAT funds and contributions made by UK Higher Education Institutions. The purpose of the GREAT Scholarship programme is to improve UK brand perception in the Indian market with a goal to significantly increasing the number of students choosing to study in the UK.
"With the Great Scholarship and Great Career Guide, we aim to empower aspiring Indian students to choose the right course in Britain. It will be followed by series of Education UK exhibitions in India to help them meet recruiters and international managers of leading British institutions,” said Rob Lynes, British Council India director.
UK universities have always attracted large number of students from all over the world. Annually, around 400,000 foreign students study there of whom nearly 30,000 are from India.
