University College Dublin FAQs

Q. Can I study online at the University College Dublin if I’m an international student?

A. Yes, you can. Online courses can be pursued through in two ways. Firstly, students can either study full-time and complete the program in the allotted time bracket or may opt for a part-time pathway (graduate diploma, graduate certificate, etc). Here, the final degree will be awarded on the basis of relevant/qualifying modules.

Q. Will my awarded degree mention the mode if I had pursued an online mode?

A. No, your mode of study won’t be mentioned on your earned qualification. So, whether you’re pursuing a course on-campus or online, the university doesn’t differentiate between the two. The medium of course delivery doesn’t affect its quality.

Q. Is it mandatory to provide references while applying for admission at UCD?

A. It depends upon the course you’re applying for. Some courses may require references and some may not. In case it is required, it will be listed as a requirement on the application form. A student can also upload the same to the application checklist himself/herself.

Q. Do I need to pay any application fee while applying for admission at UCD?

A. Yes, the application fee is €50 and the same can be paid via debit or a credit card. One can also pay it through a third-party. So, a parent or a guardian can pay on your behalf through their own credit/debit card or via third party payments page.

Q. Does an Indian student require an entry visa to study at University College Dublin?
