Established in the year 1989, the Tai Poutini Polytechnic provides education in several lucrative fields such as agriculture, crane training, tourism, industrial access and traffic management. This institution offers Outdoor Education programmes to teach values like leadership and teamwork to the students. Apart from the full-time, part-time and short term courses, this institution also offers 3+2 programmes in the discipline of tourism and food and beverage service. The main aim of this university is to get jobs for its students within the local community.

Settled in New Zealand, this university has established campuses in six prime locations, including Christchurch, Reefton, Auckland, Westport, Wanaka and Greymouth. The campuses are equipped with a plethora of student-friendly amenities to ensure a safe and well-balanced learning environment for the faculty and students. The central location of the Greymouth campus ensures that the students have various transportation options. The Christchurch campus is home to Scaffolding, Height safety and Civil training.
