  • Applicants pass all the papers prescribed for HSFY at the first attempt, with a minimum of 70% in each paper
  • Minimum overall average of 75% in the All India Senior School Examination (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) with a minimum of 70% in English. The scores are calculated on the best four academic subjects excluding local languages and non-academic subjects.
  •  One year of successful study at a recognised institution of university standing, or successful completion of a New Zealand Foundation Year programme.

Other eligibility criteria
  • An applicant must have a current UCAT result and achieved a score in all five of the UCAT sections at a threshold level determined annually by the Medical Admissions Committee.
  • Applicants will also be required to have passed the HSFY English Diagnostic Test or have passed ENGL 126.
  • Selection for applicants who have met these criteria will be based on their academic score.
  • 70% in English for the All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or the Indian School Certificate (CISCE) can waive ELP requirements
