  • Brunel University London is pleased to offer the International Tuition Fee Reduction, also known as the Early Bird Discount. The fee reduction is for fully self-funded International students only and is based upon academic profile and payment of the course deposit.

  • The tuition fee will be reduced  £1,500 of the students first year of study.
  • Applicants will be expected to pay the course deposit of £3,000 by the deadline.
  • Applicants who do not pay the course deposit of £3,000 by the deadline will forfeit the fee reduction and the fee reducton will be removed.
  • The award does not replace the deposit of £3,000. All applicants will need to pay the deposit for their course in order to formally receive the award
  • Tuition fee reductions will be decided by the International Recruitment Team, who will be responsible for producing a final list of eligible applicants.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be classed as an Overseas fee paying student based on the UK government regulations and be self-funded (not sponsored). Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government. For information on these regulations please visit the independent organisation UKCISA’s website.
  • Must have an offer to study on a full time undergraduate or postgraduate programme (including placement routes and undergraduate integrated foundation programmes) starting in September 2022.
  • All applicants must meet all conditions of their offer by the time they are due to register at Brunel.

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Application process: There is no separate application, applicants will be identified and considered by the International Recruitment Team. Students are required to inform the relevant Regional Manager once they have made their deposit payment by submitting a copy of the receipt. The fee reduction will be confirmed in September 2022, subject to meeting all conditions stated on the offer email.

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.

Additional Information

Conditions pf payment

  • Applicants will be responsible for paying the remainder of their tuition fees after the fee reduction is deducted from their first year tuition fee
  • The tuition fee will be reduced  £1,500 of the students first year of study.
  • Applicants who have already paid the full course fees can visit the Student Centre to request a refund of any overpayment; once they have met all conditions of their offer and enrolled onto their main course in person.
  • The fee discount cannot be combined with any other University scholarship, bursary, discount or award, with the exception of the 2% prompt payment discount, the Brunel Graduate Discount and the Brunel Family Discount. This will be deducted from the tuition fees remaining after the scholarship discount has been applied at enrolment.
  • If an applicant is eligible for more than one scholarship or discount, the College Specific Scholarship or International Excellence Scholarship will take precedence.

Those not eligible for this scholarship

  • Applicants who are not fully self-funded and are being sponsored by a Government or external body.
  • The award is not available to Postgraduate Research applicants (i.e. PhD, MPhil).
  • Applicants selected for a College Specific Scholarship’s for International students will not be considered for this award.
  • Applicants holding an offer of an International Excellence Scholarship will not be considered for this fee reduction.
  • Applicants who will NOT commence their course in September 2022, this includes deferred entry month and year.
  • Applicants entering a course with Brunel Pathway College (BPC) or who are progressing to a Brunel course from an BPC course.
  • Applicants holding an offer to study by Distance Learning.
  • Applicants holding offers to study on a part-time programme.
  • Students who have previously studied with Brunel University London or those that have been in receipt of a Brunel International Scholarship previously, either as part of current or earlier studies are not eligible.
