Scholarship Eligibility

Special Restrictions

• Only for students capable of full course funding

• If an applicant is full-fee paying student, then he/she may be eligible for a La Trobe Excellence Scholarship and can receive up to a 25% reduction on course fees

Eligibility

Applicants:

• Must have completed a degree equivalent to a degree from an Australian university in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or science with a major in mathematics or statistics
• According to Weighted Average Marks, the scholarship amount varies as given below:
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 65 – 69.99 gets 15 % scholarship on annual fees (A$ 5,310)
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 70 -74.99 gets 20 % scholarship on annual fees (A$ 7,080)
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 75 and above gets 25 % scholarship on annual fees (A$ 8,850)
• Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
  • IELTS: Score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0
  • TOEFL: Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
  • PTE: Overall score of 58  with no communicative skill score less than 50

• The Course application will be accessed, if the applicant has applied for an eligible course he/she will be advised whether they have been successful in achieving a La Trobe Excellence Scholarship or not 
• If the applicant wishes to accept La Trobe Excellence Scholarship they must accept the Terms and Conditions mentioned in the Brochure 

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
