Established in 2008, Curtin University is a private institution that is known to be the biggest university in Western Australia. It is a member of the Australian Technology Network. The university has been registered under the Committee for Private Education Singapore. Initially, the degrees awarded by the university were recognised through the Singapore Human Resource Institute, Singapore Institute of Materials Management and Marketing Institute of Singapore. The university began with 900 enrolments. As it emerged rapidly, the number of students increased to over 56,000. The logo of the university comes in the mustard-yellow shade and the motto says, “Look Ever Forward”.

Besides a campus in Singapore, the university has 5 more campuses in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Malaysia, Dubai and Mauritius. The Singapore Campus features a student lounge, a cafeteria, computer labs, digital classrooms, basketball court, a gym and a library that consists of a number of journals, books, textbooks, magazines and research papers & documents. The students can also access the electronic resources available at the library. The students experience a calm learning atmosphere at the campus. The campus provides all the basic facilities required by the students. Several cafes and restaurants are nearby the campus. Many stationery shops, general stores and medical shops are set close to the campus. The campus comprises three schools, namely the School of Business, School of Humanities and School of Health Sciences.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes. The academic structure of the university has various subjects that are divided into three schools at the campus. A few of the subjects are Media & Communications, Commerce, Nursing, Health, Safety
