Founded in the year 2005, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School is the second medical school of Singapore after the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The parent institutions are Duke University and the National University of Singapore. Duke-NUS and Sing Health collaborated under an Academic Medical Partnership for patient care, education and research in the medical field.

The institute offers MD, MD-PhD, and Ph.D. in medical science. It offers study programs in fields like Anesthesiology and Perioperative Sciences; Cardiovascular Sciences; Emergency Medicine; Family Medicine; Medicine; Musculoskeletal Sciences; Neuroscience; Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Oncology; Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences; Oral Health; Paediatrics; and Pathology. The Graduate Medical School Admission Test (GMSAT) is conducted for granting admission to the students.
