Eligibility & Documents Required
What are the eligibility requirements?
For master’s programmes, if you are a non-native English speaker, your native language will meet the requirements for a second language (no test required). However, you will have to present evidence of your English skills by submitting any one of these exam scores:

All students must demonstrate at least the basic knowledge of a third language along with English to complete their degree. Students must secure a certificate in language, or they can do so during Launch Week on campus. During the program, students can appear for the language test before graduation if they need to acquire a qualification in a third language. The university will train students to meet language requirements in both cases.
Apart from this, applicants need to have either GMAT or GRE scores for all programmes. There is no cut-off point for either exams and there is a wide range for accepted scores. Course-specific requirements are as follows:
- MIM: Bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised college or university or that you have completed 180 ECTS.
- MBA: An undergraduate degree with competitive scores is required. However, this is not compulsory for admission. Candidates who do not hold an undergraduate degree, but who have an excellent career record and GMAT score are also welcome to apply.
- Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised college or university, with post-graduate work experience in a managerial position.
- PhD: Applicants with a bachelor’s or master’s degree can apply for a PhD programme. Work experience is not mandatory, but recommended.
What all documents are needed for application?
International applicants should note that their academic transcripts should indicate both diploma and grades achieved from each college or university that they have attended. INSEAD accepts transcripts in English or French. All others must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Each transcript must bear the official seal and signature of the institution.

Scholarships & Financial Aid
Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?
INSEAD offers various scholarships and financial aids opportunities to all its students. There are usually merit or need-based. For need-based aid, students must demonstrate a financial need to be considered for this scholarship. Other awards are given to students based on merit, nationality, gender, background, leadership, and previous studies. Also, GEMBA applicants can apply for a bursary once they have been accepted into the programme. Independent or partly sponsored applicants are offered funding of a maximum of 50% of the total tuition. For an individual student, up to two bursary applications can be submitted. Admission Process
When do the admissions start?
For admission in MIM programme, INSEAD runs a staged admissions process with five deadlines per year. Within each round, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Competition within each of the rounds is equal, but international applicants are advised to submit applications as soon as possible to allow time for securing finances and arranging logistics. The online application form for the next intake opens when the last round of the previous intake has passed.

The PhD programme is offered in August intake with its application beginning a year prior to the intake in September. The preferred deadline is in December and the final deadline is early-January.
What is the application process?
All applicants need to apply to INSEAD directly using its online application portal: apply.insead.edu/apply/auth/authentication. You can follow these steps to complete your application:
Step 1: As a new user, register and create a new account.
Step 2: Enter your valid credentials to log in and choose your programme.
Step 3: Select a course and click on the ‘apply now’ button.
Step 4: Enter all required details like academic and professional history. You will also need to select your preferred campus/location.

When will I hear from the university after I submit my application?
INSEAD usually releases within six or seven weeks of receiving your application or after the interview (if included in the process). PhD decisions are released in three months from the deadline.

What are the chances to get into this university?

Part Time Work While Studying
Can I work while studying here?
INSEAD does not offer any work-study opportunity as most of its applicants are either working professionals or students with enough work experience. However, depending on the location/country, students can seek part-time job opportunities as per their visa status. For instance, if an international student is studying at the INSEAD Singapore campus, they can work part-time for about 16 hours a week during term and unlimited hours during vacation. As per rules set by Singapore government, only international students with a Student Pass are allowed to work part-time while studying. It is important to note that students studying in the university/institution which is not on the list of approved institutions are not eligible to work part-time or full-time both during the term and/ or vacation.

INSEAD has multiple campuses with more than 18 partnerships and alliances with other universities. Its main campus is in France, while the other are in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and San Francisco, USA.
Is on-campus housing available?
INSEAD Singapore offers limited on-campus accommodation facilities to interest applicants. The Residences have 133 rooms designed to meet the requirements of the executive students, visiting staff, and faculty. Students can also rent rooms in hotels or avail the benefits of a serviced apartments. These apartments comes with full facilities, including furnishing and maid services. The units are like multi-room hotels with kitchens and appliances. Some of the temporary housing options offer corporate, family, and long-term discounts. There are approximately 30 serviced apartment complexes in Singapore with 3,000 units as options. Applicants planning for a longer stay can contact real estate agents to find an apartment or a house.
