SOP for Computer Science in Germany

A Statement of Purpose (SOP) is usually required for Master’s programs while applying to universities abroad. At the same time, some universities require SOP for bachelor courses as well. Among these universities are German universities and technical institutes that require an SOP or a Personal Statement for Computer Science programs. An SOP is a long essay of around 1,000-1,200 words, and it helps a university/college/institution understand a candidate, their goals, academic history, professional background (if any), research interests, and motivation for the chosen course and university. It is no secret that an impactful and impressive SOP can sway the admissions committee to your side and increase your chances of admission. When applying to German universities, make sure that you highlight your technical skills and knowledge in your SOP.
