Founded in 1952, the University of Navarra is a not-for-profit private university. The institution is situated in Pamplona, Spain. It was started as an institute to offer general studies. The first program of law is introduced with 48 students and 8 faculties. The University is home to more than 11,100 students out of which more than 1500 students come from different countries. Also, over 8,600 are enrolled for graduation programs, more than 1,500 are pursuing their master's degree while 963 students are doing their Ph.D. from the university. The university maintains strong partnerships with several reputed academic universities in different countries such as the University of Hong Kong, the University of Washington and the University of Edinburgh.

The university has six campuses in cities including Pamplona, Madrid, San Sebastián, Barcelona, Munich, and New York City. Through these campuses, it provides around 35 certified undergraduate degrees, 13 dual degrees and over 38 postgraduate programs in fourteen faculties at its two university schools, seventeen institutes and several other centers and institutions.

Apart from academics, the university operates a teaching hospital that is maintained by more than 2000 staff members and qualified professionals. The hospital receives over one lakh patients each year. It also has a medical research center known as CIMA that works to promote areas like Neuroscience, Cardiovascular Sciences, Oncology and Gene Therapy and Hepatology. The university also has a museum that holds a good collection of the things given to the university. It has successfully graduated thousands of students who are now working in several areas of society. Alessandra de Osma who is the wife of Prince Christian of Hanover is an alumnus of the university.
