Lund University is a public university established in 1666. In the year, 1658 Sweden has just won the province of Skane from Denmark. Just after one month, the Bishop of Lund Peder Windstrup proposed to Kind Charles X Gustav that Lund should have an academy and thus on 19 December 1666 Lund University came into existence. Initially, it was given the name Regia Academia Carolina.

Instead, it leased accommodations from people on the behalf of its students. The cost of accommodation will depend on where you live and the kind of housing you are renting. If you take the services provided by LU Accommodations then, the average rent for a full semester is between SEK 14,000 to SEK 29,000. This includes electricity, water, heating furniture, basic kitchen supplies and use of kitchen and laundry facilities.
