Executive MBA or EMBA is essentially a management program which caters to the niche category of middle to top level executives, wanting to add that one last momentum to their careers without taking a break from their work. Essentially speaking, these programs are part time MBA programs that lets the applicant work along with the classes. The classes are conducted during evenings or weekends and are such moderated that the applicant is given freedom to continue working while studying. With fierce competition in the job market, many top level executives prefer this over taking a clear break from their work. The globalization of markets across the world caused many top B schools to offer their own Executive MBA options for the globetrotting top level professionals, to provide them an international perspective.

As per Financial Times Ranking of the EMBA programs offered across the world, the Trium Program, a joint program offered by HEC Paris, London School of Economics and New York University’s Stern Business School is at the very top. The program with its modules divided at study centres in France, UK, USA, India, China and Singapore offer a truly global dimension to its students. Following closely is the Executive MBA offered by Kellogg/ HKUST Business School in China and then the Tsinghua University/ INSEAD joint program offered by the college in China.

Is the value of EMBA same as that of a full time MBA?
Does the placement differ in a case if somebody has an EMBA?

In a manner of comparison, yes, both are equally valuable. However, it depends on the personal choice. It is important to understand that the executive MBA is done while a person is already working. Also, the years of experience required for a person to qualify for an EMBA might be effectively greater than for a Full Time MBA.
Also, EMBA does not offer any placement guidance or support for obvious reasons (students are already working professionals as top level positions!). But it can be safely said that if you are enrolled with a good B-school's EMBA program, you are already a leader and the value is considerably more!
Hope it helped!
