Top 10 MBA Colleges in France

France has long been associated with excellence and innovation. A highly developed economy, a rich cultural influence and a strategic position in the European Continent, have all contributed to France’s suitability as an education hub. Adding to the many strengths is the country’s strong focus on the education sector and a welcoming attitude towards foreign students. All these factors have rapidly added to France’s ascent as a favored destination for studies abroad. Truly, there are many reasons to study in France. With world-class institutions offering higher education in the English language, the focus of many MBA aspirants has shifted towards the country.

France, along with Germany are hot destinations for students wanting to pursue their MBA from Europe. While universities in UK still invite the chunk of the crowd, it is interesting to note that some of the Management Schools/Colleges in France are ranked amongst the Top 5. In fact, France’s top MBA School, INSEAD falls just below the London School of Business in the QS World MBA Ranking for the European. Another popular choice for international students is HEC Paris. Interestingly, while the Economist ranks HEC Paris at the fourth position, INSEAD features way below at number 18. However, interestingly, the latest ranking by Financial Times of Top MBA Colleges in the World ranks INSEAD at number 4 but HEC Paris at number 16. This is obviously due to the key differences in the methodologies of the ranking.

Following close to the heels of the top MBA colleges are ESSEC Business School and Grenoble Graduate School of Business. The latter school has a strong support from the International community of students looking for management in specific technical domains. With Grenoble being a center of research and innovation and particularly famous for its research in nanotechnology, it attracts big crowds of students looking to gain an internship in one of the technical companies of the region.

It is important to note that this article does not aim at ranking any of the colleges in France but rather simply wishes to present the ranking of various MBA schools in France that feature independently on a variety of World MBA Rankings like the QS Global Ranking for Europe as well as the Economist Global Ranking.

Hi Joel, MBA applicants are required to take the GMAT or GRE and have 2-3 years work experience prior applying. Without work experience admissions are difficult for possible for extremely bright students.
