Established in 2003, Abu Dhabi University is a private institution of higher education that offers educational programs through its four campuses situated in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, and Al Dhafra Region. The university is the largest private university in the country and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs based upon the higher education model of America. The university was started with 1,000 students across campuses of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi after the planning of three years.
Al Ain Campus was established in 2003 and it is recognized as one of the oldest and core campuses of the institution. It is home to more than 1400 students coming from 40 different countries. Abu Dhabi Campus also features staff and faculty offices, modern classrooms, meetings, and conference rooms and multi-purpose spaces that are all equipped with up-to-date amenities. Other than this, the Dubai Campus was formed in 2017 to expand and provide educational facilities.
The university provides academic facilities to more than 7,500 students from 70 countries across its campuses and corporate programs. Divided into Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business, Law and the University College, it offers undergraduate and graduate programs in areas including law, arts, business and management, education, engineering, and sciences. The university offers more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate programs and has several affiliations with internationally recognized institutions.

The council is maintained and governed by the students for students. Moreover, the university features a library that serves as the primary source of information for students, faculty and staff of the university.
In addition to this, it maintains an Office of Research and Sponsored Programs that encourages and supports undergraduate students to participate in research activities. The university offers scholarships and financial aid to continue research. The scholarships and financial aids have made it easier for over 8,643 students to pursue higher education. Also, the university has proudly granted degrees to over 16,000 students since its foundation. It has an alumni association that works to strengthen the link among graduates, universities, and employers. The graduates of the university are now working in and around the country helping different communities and societies to develop.
