Established in 1966, Brunel University London is located in West London's Uxbridge town. It is a public research university that was named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a Victorian engineer. In August 2014, the university was organized into three major research institutes and three colleges after which the official name became Brunel University London.
Brunel University London campus has several academic buildings as well as accommodations. The academic buildings include Elliott Jaques which houses Brunel Law School, Joseph Lowe which is the Civil Engineering Research Centre, the Lecture Centre, Heinz Wolff with facilities, and offices for College of Health and Life Sciences, and many others. Mary Seacole Building houses the gym, practice rooms, resource room, and other modern facilities for the benefit of students. There is also a Brunel Student Lettings service that helps students find accommodations near campus. Uxbridge is a suburban town and metropolitan district that has several theatres, restaurants, and clubs for the entertainment of the youth.

An administrative staff of 2,581 was responsible for educating around 13,892 students in 2018-19.
There are a lot of notable alumni who are associated with Brunel University London. Lee Mack, who is a famous comedian and Archie Panjabi, a famous actress, both of them were also associated with Brunel. When it comes to sports, the notable personalities include Tony Adams, Olympic gold medalist James Cracknell, and former NBA player Michael Olowokandi were students here. Political theorist Ralph Miliband, MP for Manchester Withington John Leech and Greek politician Anastasios Papaligouras were some of the other alumni from the university.
