City, University of London is a public research institution. Since the year 2016, it has been serving as the University of London's constituent college. Established in the year 1894, it used to be recognized as the Northampton Institute. It gained the status of a university when the royal charter created the City University in 1966. Known for its academic excellence, the institution shares a strong association with the City of London. Owing to its academic record, focus on business and professional and central location in the heart of London, the university attracts students from across the world.
The campus of the institution is situated in Central London along with other locations located in the City, Islington, West End, and East End. The university is home to five schools including the School of Health Sciences, School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, Cass Business School, The City Law School and the School of Arts & Social Sciences.
