At the undergraduate level, Loughborough University International Scholarships are awarded based on outstanding academic achievement and potential. Self-funded applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship, which usually covers 25 per cent of tuition for the first year of study. Students with exceptional grades (or predicted grades) are offered this award based on their initial application. If chosen for this scholarship, applicants will be informed through an e-mail after receiving their offer letters. Graduate aspirants can apply for various bursaries, awards, and department-specific scholarships, such as Alumni Bursary, Chevening Scholarships, Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships, Said Foundation Scholarships, and so on.
When do the admissions start?
The application for undergraduate programmes begins in September of the year before you wish to start your studies. As a UG applicant, you should be aware of these key dates (UCAS):
Note: For the 2021 intake, the application deadline was extended till late-January. In such exceptional cases, late applications are only considered if the courses are still vacant.
Postgraduate courses are offered around the year, and thus, the closing dates are much more flexible. As a PG applicant, you can apply until early-September in the year you wish to begin your studies. However, some popular courses have limited seats and may fill before their deadlines. Thus, the university recommends applying as early as possible.
The early-September deadline is also when the university guarantees you equal consideration.
If you apply after this deadline, your applications will only be considered if your chosen course still has a vacancy and you still have time to obtain a student visa. To know more about the exact closing dates for each course, you may check the official website.
How to apply to UG courses?
For undergraduate courses, you will need to apply through the UCAS application portal. As a new applicant, you need to register with UCAS first and then complete all the six sections of your application. These sections can be completed in any order; however, it is important to thoroughly review each section before submitting your application to ensure there are no mistakes.

Some courses may declare results earlier than this timeline. International students can connect with the university at firstname.lastname@example.org if they do not receive any decision by these tentative timelines.
