Newcastle University was established in the early 1830s as the School of Medicine and Surgery under the federal University of Durham. How to Apply for UG Admission at the Newcastle University?

You can apply to UG courses through the UCAS application portal. After submitting the application, you will receive a welcome email from UCAS and the university detailing how to use the 'UCAS Track' system. You can use this tool to check the application status.

There are three possible outcomes for your application:

  • You receive a  conditional offer, which means you still need to meet the requirements
  • You receive an unconditional offer, which means you have secured a place, although there might still be a few things to arrange
  • Your application was unsuccessful, which means the university rejected your application for the chosen course

Even if your application is unsuccessful and you have not received any offer, you can still apply through UCAS Extra (before July) or apply through Clearing (mid-August). Read more on this on the UCAS website.

The UG program's application fee is GBP 20 for the first five choices and then GBP 25 for each additional course or subject through UCAS.
