  • Applicants must hold a 2.1 Honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University
  • Applicants with a minimum 2.2 Honours degree in a cognate discipline, a 2.1 Honours degree in a non-cognate discipline, or who have not yet completed their degree, will be required to pass an aptitude test
  • 2:1 equivalent as per India:
    • First Division Pass and a minimum final average of 58 - 60% (in the traditional system), or
    • CGPA 5.8 - 7.5 on the 10 point scale; depending on the institution attended and the grading system used
  • 2:2 equivalent as per India: Second Division Pass and a minimum final average of 53 - 55% (in the traditional system), or CGPA 5.3 - 6.5 on the 10 point scale; depending on the institution attended and the grading system used
  • The university takes into account that at some of India's most prestigious higher education institutions it is rare to be awarded a First Class degree. For this reason, it may be possible at the discretion of the Selector to consider candidates from top institutions who have achieved a very good Second Class degree with a final average of 58% or above (where a UK 2:1 is required) and 53% or above (where a UK 2:2 is required)
