The University of Birmingham was established in 1900 bringing in new model for higher education in the UK. Being one of the most popular and the first universities in UK, University of Birmingham is England’s first civic university which accepts students from all backgrounds for admissions. The University of Birmingham is situated in Edgbaston, Birmingham in the United Kingdom. The Birmingham campus of University of Birmingham is spread across 672 acres of land, also there is another campus located in Dubai as well.  

University of Birmingham rankings for 2022, the following rankings were noted - The Complete University Guide - University Ranking (UK) ranks the University of Birmingham at #19. The Guardian - University Rankings 2022 rank the University at #29, as per QS - World University Ranking, University of Birmingham ranks at #90. Finally, THE (Times Higher Education) - University Ranking places the University of Birmingham at #105 for its 2022 rankings.  

There are two on-campus museums at the University of Birmingham. One of them is Lapworth Museum of Geology, for which entry is free of cost and doesn’t require prior bookings. The Barber Institute of Fine Arts is another one, which is one of the small but finest art galleries in the Europe including an acoustically perfect concert hall. The University of Birmingham has its own Botanical Garden also which is used for teaching and learning.

The University of Birmingham offers accommodation for its students across its three student villages: Pritchatts Park, The Vale, and Selly Oak.
