Established in 1975, the University of Roehampton is a highly-ranked public institution of research-centric higher education in London, United Kingdom. Titled as the Roehampton Institute of Higher Education, the institution came into existence as a result of the merger between four teacher training colleges founded in the 19th century. It was branded with the current name in 2011, but its legal name is Roehampton University, which was given to it in the year 2004. It holds affiliations from Universities UK and the European University Association. The university is associated with the Cathedrals Group and the Compostela Group of Universities.

The university boasts a beautiful 54-acre parkland campus in the suburban district of Roehampton, which consists of historic buildings alongside modern ones, pathways, parking areas and green spaces. The university has four academic colleges comprising six departments and four schools that offer career-oriented degree programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The students can pursue degrees in different disciplines of humanities, science, education, law, life sciences, psychology, business, performing arts, social sciences, media, cultural studies, creative writing and English. Apart from the academic degrees, the university extends a range of short professional development courses across various disciplines. As per the data for 2017-18, 86% of the students were from the UK, 7% from other European nations while 7% came from various countries of the world. The total student enrolment at the university for the year was 22,754, out of which 70% are females and 30% males. About 9,248 students pursue programmes on the campus, while near about 6,852 are off-campus learners and 6,655 online students.

A. The campus is very safe for everyone staying inside it. As per the Completer University Guide 2014, it has been recognized as the safest in inner London. 24 hours cover is provided by the campus security service throughout the week. Students also have the liberty to call them in case of any doubt or urgency.

Q. What all co-curricular activities are offered by the University of Roehampton for its students?

A. The university believes in all-round development of the students. Considering this factor, it has various active societies and a distinct sports team. A. If your application gets rejected, send a scanned copy of the rejection letter from the entry clearance officer, submitted documents and a statement regarding why you think the same got rejected. The Roehampton Immigration Office’s immigration team will help you out with the same.

A. The university offers 5, 10 and 15 week pre-sessional intensive language courses for students who need help with their English language skills. An International Foundation Program is also available for those who need help with both their academic study skills and English skills.
