The University of Salford was originally set up as the Royal Technical Institute in 1896. The Royal Technical Institute was then renamed as the Royal Technical College, Salford. Then, it was split into two organizations like The Royal College of Advanced Technology and Peel Park Technical College. This then transitioned into becoming the University College Salford in 1992. In 1967, the Royal College of Advanced Technology became the University of Salford when Queen Elizabeth II handed over the Royal Charter. Finally, in 1996, the University College Salford and the University of Salford finally merged to become a single institution.

If we talk about the University of Salford rankings, then it has been ranked at #94th position in the 2022 rankings by the Guardian and at the #83rd position as per The Complete University Guide 2022. On the other hand, if we consider the University of Salford world ranking, then it ranks at the #801-1000 position in both QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education Rankings 2023.

When we talk about the University of Salford courses, then a range of study options are there for international students from foundation year to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Courses in the disciplines like Digital Marketing, Games Design and Production, Nursing, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, etc are offered. Currently, 4,000 international students are studying on the campuses of Salford University.

To know about university life, living in student accommodation is a great way to meet new people. Students can live in two accommodation villages like Peel Park Quarter and John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts. Both of the accommodation villages include amenities like wi-fi, a free on-site gym, on-site social areas, and 24-hour security.

A. The university of Stalford is well-connected to the Manchester airport. Reaching London will take just 2 hours by train while moving to Edinburgh will take 3 hours. The main Manchester city is 10 minutes away.

Q. In which month can I join the University of Stalford? How much is the tuition fee?

A. Student intake generally happens either in September or January. For the academic year 2022-2023, the tuition fee is £9,600 for one semester or £16,500 for a full academic year. Students enrolled through International Exchange and Erasmus+ partner universities have to pay £7,600 for one semester and £13,000 for a full year.
