  • The Centre for Fine Print Research form the key teaching team on MA Design. The CFPR is one of the country's leading university research centres in Art and Design, combining a multi-technology approach towards novel surface print, design and fabrication in 2 and 3 dimensions

Applicants normally have one of the following:

  • A highly motivated, creative students from a range of academic and professional practice backgrounds. Usually applicants will have an undergraduate degree in either art or design

  • Also welcome applications from prospective students with interests in design thinking, critical making and contemporary craft practice

  • Entry requirements for postgraduate courses vary from institution to institution and have been determined by both the length of the degree and the section of university (as defined by the NOOSR list):

  • NOOSR Section 1 - 2.6 GPA or 48% for a three-four year degree, 45% from a five-year degree.
  • Section 1 includes: Alagappa University, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Amity, Amrita Institute of Management, Anna university, Banaras hindu University, Bangalore University, Bharathiar University, Birla Institute of Technology, Board of Technical Education, Chennai University, D Y Patil, Delhi University, English and Foreign Language University, Guru Nanak Dev University, IIM, IIT, IIS, Kolkata University, Mumbai University, Pune University.

TOEFL

Marks - 90/120

  •  Overall score of 90 or above, including a minimum of 17 in Listening and Writing, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.

PTE

Marks - 58/90

  • Overall score of 58 with at least 51 in each component (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking)

IELTS

Marks - 6.5/9

  •  The International English Language Test (IELTS) overall score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component.

Duolingo

Marks - 120/160

  •  with a minimum of 100 in all other components

Other eligibility criteria

ELP Waiver: Applicants with 70% in English in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB can fulfill English language requirement
