Step 1: Application Submission - Submit your application for the selected course, for which you're eligible, and send the same at the earliest especially if you need to apply for a visa.

Step 2: Offer Letter - After your application is received, the university will evaluate your personal statements, recommendations, and qualifications in order to make the offer. There are a few courses for which you may have to appear for an interview or submit a portfolio. You will then be informed about the status of your application. Can I work while studying here?

Yes, you can work while studying at the University of West London. The employment condition added to your visa contributes to the number of hours you can work and the form of occupation you can take up. The conditions are:

  • During the academic year, you cannot work more than 20 hours a week; however, you can work full-time during your vacations
  • You cannot be self-employed
  • You cannot work for a corporation while still serving in a statutory capacity
  • You cannot work full-time in a permanent vacancy
  • You cannot function as a doctor or surgeon in training
  • You cannot work as a professional athlete or entertainer

Q. How can I apply for a full-time course as an international student at UWL?

A. There are two ways through which students can apply for a full-time course:
  • UCAS website: With the help of the institution code (W05) and the UCAS course code

Q. How early should I apply for a visa in order to study in the UK?

Q. What to do if I do not possess the required English language proficiency for admission to UWL?

A. In case a student does not meet the university's English language requirements, he or she may take the Pre-sessional English Language Programme before the start of the course. Once this is complete, the student can get enrolled on a full-time undergraduate or post-graduate program. 

Q. I'm studying at another university at present but would like to transfer to UWL. Can I do that?

A. If a student who is studying at another university wishes to transfer to UWL, they can get enrolled on the second and third-year undergraduate courses. This is called 'advanced standing'. The eligibility for the same will be assessed by the university's academic staff.

Q. Do I need to provide any references along with my application for admission to UWL?

A. Yes, a few programs offered at the university requires the applicant to submit two references. One of those should be related to your present or latest work and one to any present or latest study you've conducted.

Q. My studies are not yet complete. How do I get a visa extension?

A. You will have to reach out to the Student Advice team for the requirements of the present student leave in case you need more time to complete your course. A. Yes, those pursuing full-time postgraduate courses are permitted to bring their dependents with them to the UK on a student-dependent visa.
