The university enrolls more than 6,300 undergraduates from all 50 states and over 130 countries. More than 3,300 international students from more than 135 countries are pursuing their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The staff of the university comprises of learned academicians, political leaders, scientists, businessmen, economists, etc. More than 400 international scholars are teaching or conducting research at the university. Georgetown also supports over 180 study-abroad programs in 52 countries, among which students can select a semester, year, or summer options

Georgetown University maintains a list of notable alumni who have gained success and fame in their respective fields. Bill Clinton, former US President, graduated in 1968 from Georgetown University. Popular American actor Bradley Cooper is yet another popular alumnus of the university who holds a degree in English. Its alumni list also includes Antonin Scalia (the Chief Justice of U.S Supreme Court ), Savannah Guthrie (co-anchor of the Today Show), Edward Douglass White (former Chief Justice), Jerome Powell (Federal Reserve Chairman) and John Francis Kelly (former White House Staff Chief).
