  • Applicant should have a four year bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Applicant holding a B.S.E.E. or a B.S.CP.E. degree has the necessary background to undertake the M.N.E. program. A student without adequate background is required to demonstrate proficiency in the following courses: 
    • Circuit Analysis I & II
    • Signals and Systems
    • Multivariate and Vector Calculus
    • Introduction to Differential Equations
    • Probability and Statistics

TOEFL

Marks - 90/120

  • With a minimum section score of 20

PTE

Marks - 63/90

  • With a minimum section score of 53

IELTS

Marks - 6.5/9

  • With a minimum section score of 6.5

English Proficiency Waiver

During the admission process, Illinois Tech waives TOEFL or IELTS requirements if:

  • Your first or native language is English
  • You have received a degree from an English-speaking institution OR have attended that school for at least two years
  • Your school’s official medium of instruction is in English, per your transcripts
