Illinois Institute of Technology was ranked as the most sustainable university in Illinois, 2010 by Princeton Review, and the IIT campus was said to be amongst the 200 most important architectural works in the U.S by the American Institute of Architects. The Mies Campus Building is its main campus, which has several facilities from athletic buildings to sororities. It covers a huge area of 120 acres and has a great infrastructure. It is only a few minutes away from Chicago downtown, which is an added advantage.
Some of the notable alumni of Illinois Institute of Technology are Martin Cooper, inventor of Cell Phone; Jamshyd Godrej, Chairman of Godrej & Boyce; Sanjay Kirloskar, MD Kirloskar Brothers; and Rohit Prasad who invented Amazon’s Alexa.
