Undergraduate Level Eligibility Requirements

Basic Education: Grade 12 in relevant discipline

English Proficiency Score: Students aiming for undergraduate courses may either provide the university with a minimum English proficiency test score or undergo an additional English assessment designed by Illinois Tech. The minimum scores to overcome this requirement are:

Standardized Exam Score: SAT or ACT:

The English proficiency score requirement can be waived off by providing a minimum score of either of the following standardized test score:

MBA Scholarships

All MBA students are eligible for a scholarship of up to USD 14,000. There is no requirement to apply for the same.

MS and PhD Fellowships and Assistantships

Illinois Tech individual academic departments select full-time students for graduate fellowships, teaching assistantships, and research assistantships. These are granted to doctoral students and some of the highly qualified master’s students. Receivers of a funding award are notified through the official admission letter.

MS Graduate Scholarship Deadlines:

Applicants submitting their course application within deadlines would automatically be considered for graduate fellowships, scholarships, and teaching and research assistantships.

Alumni Awards

Part Time Work While Studying

Can I work while studying here?

International students on an F-1 student visa can apply to work while studying on campus at Illinois Tech. I-20 granted by the university serves as the proof of on-campus employment eligibility during studies.


All the full-time registered and bright students need to confirm the authorization of working with the International Center. Students may start working after getting the Payroll Authorization approval from the Student Employment Specialist. This approval is sent to the students as well as the professors.
