Academic Requirements for Indian Undergraduates

Indian students are required to meet the following eligibility requirements:

MSU Institutionally Funded Scholarships

The scholarships funded by the university are:

  • Academic Excellence – A scholarship of USD 2,000 per year is offered to students with a high school GPA of 3.9 or higher
  • Academic Distinction – Students with a high school GPA of 3.8 to 3.89 are offered USD 1,500 per year for four years
  • Academic Achievement – It is offered to students with a high school GPA of 3.7 to 3.79. The scholarship amount is USD 1,000

MSU Donor-Funded Scholarships

The donor-funded scholarships are privately donated to the university every year. The donations or gifts are sent by individuals, groups, or companies. Students are required to complete the online MSU Annual Scholarship Application to avail of the scholarship benefits.

Missouri Outreach Graduate Opportunity Scholarship

The Missouri Outreach Graduate Opportunity (MOGO) Scholarship is available to international full-time graduate students enrolled in an eligible graduate program. The scholarship value is adjusted every academic year when the University Board of Governors approves the changes in tuition fees. No application is required for this scholarship. Students are automatically selected and awarded the scholarship when they meet the relevant eligibility criteria.

To meet eligibility criteria for MOGO scholarship, one must:

  • Be an international student
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.25
  • Be a first-time degree-seeking student
  • Enrolled in a full-time graduate program with 9 graduate credit hours during fall, 9 credits during spring, and 5 graduate credit hours during summer

When to Apply?

What are the chances of getting into this university? How difficult it is it to get an admission?


The university processes all incoming applications individually. Missouri State University is not very selective. The applications are assessed based on SAT/ACT scores, GPA grades, letters of recommendation, etc. If the class percentile of a student is 50 and GPA is 3.23, the GPA will determine the applicant’s selection.

If a student submits only one test score between ACT and SAT, selection will be based on such score submissions. If multiple scores are submitted, the higher scores will be considered. Part Time Work While Studying


Can I work while studying here?


International students are allowed to work on and off-campus. Students are allowed to work for 20 hours a week during a regular study term or semester and up to 40 hours during university breaks and vacations. However, students are required to meet the minimum eligibility requirements to work in the country.
