Rowan University is a public research university that was founded in 1923. This university began its operations with Glassboro Normal School, which is today known as Bunce Hall. Dr. Jerohn Savitz. During the 1950s, it expanded its curriculum, increased enrolment, and included several buildings on its campus.

This university is segregated into 13 institutions which are College of Communication & Creative Arts, College of Education, Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, College of Humanities & Social Sciences, College of Performing Arts, Rohrer College of Business, College of Science & Mathematics, Global Learning & Partnerships, School of Health Professions, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Lot of research options are available here.

Tips: Students should be well prepared mentally that you will miss your home. But the maturity and experiences you will have will help you in your future for sure. Study is hard but a lot of research options are available. The faculty is good. Friends are always there to help. The climate is moderate. You will have lot of opportunities to get on campus job.

Q. Will Rowan University accept my three-year degree from India?

A. Yes, the university does accept three-year academic degrees from India for admission into graduate courses, provided the degree has been obtained in 1st division and the institute which has awarded the degree is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade or better.

Q. What all documents are required for graduate admission at Rowan University?

A. Documents required for graduate admission at Rowan include a college transcript, copy of original degree, standardized English language test score, professional resume, recommendations (atleast two for master’s program and 3 for PhD courses), and a statement of purpose.

Q. Do I need to pay an application fee if I’m applying for admission to Rowan University?

A. Yes, if you’re an international undergraduate student (freshman and transfer student), you will have to pay an application fee of $45 along with your application. Similarly, graduate applicants (non-thesis) will have to pay an application fee of $65. It should be noted that the fee for both will be non-refundable.

Q. I have unofficial copies of transcripts. Will they be accepted for admission at Rowan University?

A. Only for admission purposes will the unofficial scanned copies of your transcripts be accepted. Students who get admitted will have to submit the official transcripts before they register for the classes otherwise a hold will be put on the student account.

Q. How much time will it take to know about the admission decision?

A. Usually, you will get to know about the admission decision within 1-4 weeks of applying. It may take longer if a busy admission season is prevailing. Students are requested to keep an eye on the applicant portal regarding any intimation.

Q. Can I apply for admission at Rowan University while I’m still completing my undergraduation?

A. Yes, if you’re in the final year of your undergraduate study, you can apply for admission. You will have to submit the marksheets of all your completed semesters as unofficial transcripts requirement. Also, you will have to submit a Bonafide Certificate in place of the provisional or original degree document.

Q. Is it mandatory to possess an English language proficiency for admission to Rowan University?

A. Yes, you need to be proficient in both written and spoken English for studying at Rowan University. In case, your first language is not English, you will have to submit an English language proficiency score. You can either submit a minimum TOEFL score of 70, a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, a minimum Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 50 or a minimum Duolingo test score of 120 for traditional admissions.

Q. Can I be accepted at Rowan University if I meet all the requirements except for the language test score?

A. Yes, in such a case you may obtain a conditional admission. You will then have to enroll for the university’s English language program, offering non-credit courses. Once the same is completed, you can get enrolled in the university for regular courses.

A. Yes, the university has made available many merit-based scholarships to undergraduate freshman and transfer students from abroad. All the international students, who have been admitted, are considered for the international scholarship awards automatically. The scholarship amount ranges from $1,000 to $19,000 per year.
