Q. Which ELP tests are accepted by UCM for admissions?

A. UCM accepts an IELTS score of 6.0 for graduate students and 5.5 for undergraduate students and a TOEFL exam score of 61 IBT or 500 PBT for undergraduates and 79 IBT or 550 PBT for graduates. UCM only accepts academic IELTS score, not general.  PBT or IBT TOEFL scores are accepted.

Q. What GPA do you need to get into UCM?

A. Students must have a 2.0 high school GPA or above to be admissible. If the applicant has taken undergraduate coursework the cumulative GPA of the undergraduate coursework must be a 2.0 or higher to be admissible. Read more: University of Central Missouri Admissions

Q. Are academic documents accepted at UCM via mail?

A. No, all documents required for admissions must be uploaded to the student status page. Students should not email or mail any documents except official transcripts and provisional certificates and/or diplomas.

Q. Is it mandatory to have a passport while coming to study at University of Central Missouri?

A. Yes. All students that leave the U.S. need a passport. However, not all programs require a visa. In most countries, students staying for less than 90 days do not require a visa.

Q. In which language are courses taught at UCM?

A. All courses at the University of Central Missouri are taught in English language only unless the applicant opts for a foreign language of study.

Q. What are the GRE requirements at University of Central Missouri?

A. GRE score with a minimum combined score of 291 in Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning is accepted for graduated admissions at UCM. Applicants must submit official GRE test scores by Educational Testing Services (ETS) directly to the University of Central Missouri.

Q. How much time does it take for UCM to roll out admission decisions?

A. International Student Services of UCM usually issues an official letter of acceptance and supporting VISA documents within 7-12 business days. There is a certain time limit for students to accept their offers.

Q. Is UCM test optional for ACT and SAT?

A. Yes, UCM is test optional for ACT and SAT submissions from undergraduates for admission. 

Q. Are all UCM students required to stay on campus while studying?

A. UCM requires its first-year and sophomore students under the age of 21 to reside on campus as part of a two-year residency requirement. Freshmen and sophomores are also required to have specified meal plans.
