Formerly known as the Colorado Seminary, the University of Denver was established in the year 1864. This university founded the primary business schools nationally and the primary school of social work on the West Coast. In the year 1900, the first African American graduated from this university and the first female student graduated from this university in 1886. It was the center of protest for the region when Martin Luther King visited it. This research-based university provides a plethora of undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting, art, business, science, engineering, and economics.
The campus of the University of Denver is situated near a busy neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. It provides many academic resources, ongoing social life, and professional networking opportunities to the students. It has five residential halls, namely the Nagel Hall, the Nelson Hall, the Jonhson-Mcfarlane, the Centennial Hall, and the Dimond Family Residential Village.
