There are over 5,000 courses to choose from at the University of Kansas. There are over 400 degree and diploma programs to choose from. There are also 2,800 staff members, all of whom are specialists in their disciplines.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?

Financial aid is earned by 69% of undergraduates. Each year, the institution receives 232 million dollars in financial assistance. Scholarships, exemptions, and student employment are open to international students at KU. 

International students may qualify for a number of scholarships, including:

  • International Excellence: This freshmen scholarship includes a 3.5-4.0 GPA as well as a scholarship submission. The prize is worth up to $100,000 and is paid out over four years at the cost of 25,000 USD per year

Part Time Work While Studying

Can I work while studying here?

KU students have access to both on-campus and off-campus college employers. KU’s mission is to help students find work while they are still in school so that they can pay for tuition, learn new skills, create a resume, and gain useful career experience.

You can work no more than 20 hours a week and only on campus, according to American student visa guidelines. When classes are in session, students can work up to 20 hours a week, and while classes are not in session, they can work up to 40 hours per week.
