The University of San Diego is a private university founded in the year 1949. Its history dates back to the year 1772, after the alliance of the School of Law and the College for Men. Led by an independent trustee board, the university maintains eight different academic departments, including the schools of business administration, nursing and health sciences, law, engineering, leadership and education sciences, peace, the division of professional and continuing education, and the College of Arts and Sciences. This university is committed to the Catholic Faith and practices ecumenism. The campus stretches on a 180-acre piece of land in the city of San Diego, U.S. The campus is easily accessible and pedestrian-friendly.

The campus provides maintained housing with dining amenities to students. Students can enrol themselves into many clubs and organizations for their all-round development. To ensure a safe atmosphere for students, the university has a public safety department. This department is available 24/7 and deals with emergencies. It has an enrollment of 9,073 students, including 1,310 freshers. The student population includes 9% of international students and 37 minority students. This university offers many merit-based awards and scholarships to provide financial assistance to students. Some of the scholarships offered are Athletic Scholarships, Music Scholarships, and NROTC Scholarship.
