Moreover, the university is officially certified with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The university comprises of 10 schools that reside on a park-like campus of Nashville. The campus of the university is spread over a land of 334 acres. It consists of 178 buildings including the administrative and department buildings. Vanderbilt University offers an immersive learning environment by providing undergraduate, graduate and professional programs in the engineering, liberal arts and sciences, education, music, and human development. The university is recognized for its graduate schools of law, business, education, nursing, medicine, and divinity.

Moreover, it is home to more than 12,800 full-time and part-time students from all 50 U.S. states and over 100 other nations. It offers 65 percent of its undergraduate students some sort of financial support to continue study and research. It has produced over 1,39,000 alumni and some of the Nobel Laureates from the faculty and alumni include Al Gore Jr., Muhammad Yunus, and Stanley Cohen. Also, Lamar Alexander (U.S. Senator), Ann S. Moore (former Chairman and CEO of Time Inc.), Emily White (former COO of Snapchat) and Richard Weaver (famed political philosopher).

Q. Is there an application fee waiver offered to students at Vanderbilt University?

A. Eligible students from the U.S, outside the U.S, DACA, and also the undocumented lot may request an application fee waiver. They will have to submit the request through the coalition application and the common application. The application fee of all those applying through the QuestBridge Application will be automatically waived.

Q. Are there any part-time employment opportunities available at Vanderbilt University for students with financial needs?

A. Yes, such students can get part-time employment which is hosted by the Federal Work-Study Program (FWSP). Students will be awarded monthly or bi-weekly paychecks. Students pursuing undergraduate courses are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week.

Q. I had submitted an admission application at Vanderbilt University but couldn’t enroll due to some reason. Can I apply again?

A. Yes, you can. But you will have to submit a new application. Also, as the application data will be pre-populated, you will be able to mark any changes or updates, if required. It won’t be mandatory for the students to submit their official test scores again if they had done so when they filled out the application earlier.

Q. Is it mandatory to submit transcripts for admission at Vanderbilt University?

A. Yes, students are required to send the transcripts either through post or electronic delivery. The transcripts and other documents will be considered official only when the institution last attended by the student submits them.

A. Students are supposed to submit a statement of purpose (SOP) at the time of submitting their application for admission. It is an essay regarding your reason for applying to the university and the course selected by you. Q. Can F-1 students opt for on-campus employment while studying at Vanderbilt University?

A. Yes, all F-1 students can apply for on-campus employment. When the classes are in session, the same is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. When the winter/spring/summer vacations are on, they can extend beyond 20 hours every week.

Q. Is there any English language proficiency waiver for international students at Vanderbilt University?

A. Yes, international students who have obtained a degree from an English-speaking institution are offered TOEFL/IELTS requirement waiver.
